YOU MUST COME HERE! The food is absolutely AMAZING! The wonton nachos were perfect! Brisket was moist and paired so well with jalapenos! The soup, wonderful choice! I could tell in the taste how fresh and from “scratch” that was made....10000% LOVE THE WAGYU burger (didn’t expect it to be a double patty) was delicious!!! And don’t get me started on the FRIES! The crunch was insane and mouth watering Their grilled salmon was a state winner twice in a row, you can’t miss out! And their Sunday chicken is also a nice thing to try! My favorite spot in all of Missouri! Not to mention, the service was BEYOND amazing ! The atmosphere was calm and friendly. I had a great time dining here. I drove a mustang on the dirt path to this restaurant (just incase you’re unfamiliar with the area like me haha)

My family and I had a fabulous time getting dinner and drinks here. It was the first time for 2 people in our party and the third time back for the other 2. We will all definitely be back! The atmosphere is clean and cozy, and all of the staff are friendly. The owner/executive chef came by our table before we ordered to see if we had any questions, and came by again after we ate to see how everything was. We told him we have a guest coming next month with a Vegan diet and he said he would be more than happy to accommodate! For appetizers we had the scallops on special and sticky ribs, both delicious and has us wanting more! For entrees we had the Tavern Wedge Salad with Prawns, Smokehouse Fried Chicken sandwich and the sea bass on special. Everyone loved their dish, and also loved their dirty martinis. Thank you for a great Friday night!

Out of my 1.6K reviews and almost 4M views...I hope EVERYONE finds The Tavern at Trails End near lake of the Ozarks! This was an outstanding experience from the quaint setting to the fantastic cuisine. Chef (John) and hostess (Sherri) are absolutely the best! It is rare that the chef comes out, explains the menu and the inspiration behind his creations and then checks in after the meal! Phenomenal, hands down 5 STARS. Waitress, Bethany was also amazing and so sweet to us. This was the best anniversary experience we have had to date in our 24 years :) Well done, ALL! Even though the pics are good....they don't compare to the flavor extravaganza you will experience here.

We had an amazing dinner tonight. The salmon and chicken were the best we've ever had. This historical site is rustic and quaint and the service was exceptional. We even got to meet the chef. Best food for the price at the Lake.

Hubby and I came here for date night after hearing about this place from a friends of ours. It was amazing! We made reservations and were seated quickly. We ordered the pretzels as our app, he ordered the ahi special, and I ordered the smokehouse chicken. Great portions and so tasty! For dessert we ordered the gooey butter cake and it was a perfect end to the night. Our waitress was attentive and so sweet to us, chef John checked on us as well. You’ve got to check out this hidden treasure!

Updated 6/25/23: We decided to go back this morning to the Tavern at Trails End for brunch. We had a much better experience than last time we were here. Everything was great. A group of 3 of us tried out The Tavern at Trails End today for brunch. We had looked online and the menu looked amazing. This is in the location of the old Hurricane Dollies. We tried calling to ask about reservations, knowing they would probably be busy for Mother's Day, but they never answered, so we went anyway around 11:30 AM. When we got there, we were told that the earliest they could get us in was 1:30. We noticed they had a special brunch buffet that looked good so we decided to come back for our reservation 2 hours later. When we arrived, we were seated fairly quickly and our waitress was very quick and friendly. The 3 of us went through the buffet line and got a sampling of different things. When we started eating we were really disappointed with the food. Much of it wasn't warm, but room temperature or cold. The food flavor was OK at best (possibly related to food temperature and possibly sitting out too long). There was an egg quiche dish that was very unpleasant. The tastiest item was the country fried chicken, but it wasn't enjoyable not being warm. Not being happy with the food, we couldn't even finish the one plate we each had. We were very disappointed when we got our bill to find out the buffet was about 39/person. I would have to say that our experience was not worth the price. All that being said, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential. The building setup and design is awesome. The facility itself is very architecturally interesting as it is an old log cabin. The regular menu looks awesome with a lot of unique ingredients. We will have to give it another try sometime for dinner and hopefully have a better experience.

This place is a hidden gem! The service and food were great and the atmosphere is nice. Perfect place to watch the sunset. The steaks & desserts were delicious, the “grilled cheese” brisket sandwich was a hard pass though.
